More Cast Iron Means Better Performance
The 8 Series offers commercial quality in a residential boiler. With it's 4" deep thicker wall cast iron sections offers a multitude of performance advantages over other leading residential boilers including:
- Due to the larger water content and increased surface area in the boiler, corrosion and mineral build-up is minimized while the heat transfer is maximized improving longevity and increasing efficiency.
- The higher boiler mass maintains a high water temperature for a greater length of time after the burner has stopped firing. This higher heat retention reduces short cycling and stress on the boiler improving reliability.
- The larger combustion chamber allows more room for the combustion process providing better, cleaner combustion for low emissions. It decreases the chance of flame impingement with its potential for incomplete combustion and sooting.
Quiet Design
The rear outlet design of the 8 Series provides quieter operation. Designed to provide a sound attenuating effect much like that of a car muffler, the flue gases are routed through two turns before venting into the chimney through the back of the boiler.
